Avery was the first newborn I ever photographed & now here she is at a whopping 3.5 months!  I can’t believe it has been so long.  She is growing up to be quite a little cutie & her eyes are pure NAVY colored.  SO cool!  Here are a few favorites from her session:

Today I got a new lens that I’ve been drooling over for months – the second I got home I HAD to try it out, & since it was nap time for the toddler, that only left my energizer bunny, Kate, to practice on.  These were the first studio pictures I’ve done of her since she has started to really crawl well, & MAN was it exhausting.  I eventually stuck her in a vintage wash tub my mom picked up for me & she was happy as a clam sitting in there.

  • Betsy - love that vintage tub pics! Which lens did you get? :)ReplyCancel

My big girl, Aubrey, starts her first little dance class in a couple weeks.  I’ve brainwashed  showed her lots of dancing youtube videos, read her “ballerina” books, and even taught her a few basic things that I remember from when I used to take ballet.  Every single time we get into the car she asks if we are going to balloweena class & I can’t help but get SO excited for her!  Sure, there’s a 90% chance this mama’s girl will be super shy when we get there and just cling to my leg but I’ve got my bases covered – if this class doesn’t work out there’s a “mommy & me class” that I’d be even more thrilled about!  Just need to find a sitter for Kate once a week. Sigh.  Either way, I’m so excited for her to do her first activity!  I plan on letting her try lots & lots of sports & activities growing up, but am elated that dance happens to be the first thing.:) Aubrey was dying to wear her “balloweena” clothes & do her hair in a bun just like the girl in her book, so I let her do her thing while I snapped away.  I sure love this ballerina of mine!
